Eva Hausman

Honored by Kathy McAfee, her good friend

Eva Hausman is an extraordinary leader, change agent and friend. She has inspired and educated hundreds of middle school and high school students for more than 30 years of her career as a social studies teacher. She co-founded the MothersDayMovement.org and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help women and children around the world. She and her family have raised awareness of the need for racial justice and tolerance in our community. As the daughter of a Holocast survivor, Eva has devoted much of her adult life to ending discrimination and to teaching others to refuse to be bystanders to injustices, bulling and Antisemitism. She and her husband Irwin and their daughter Kim were awarded the Daniel R. Ginsberg Humanitarian Award in 2012.
