We are pleased to announce this year’s Eileen Kraus Scholarship Awardee, Lily Riccio! Lily’s winning essay highlights Martha Coolidge, the first and only woman to be President of the Directors Guild of America. We’re so proud of Lily and can’t wait to see what else she will accomplish!

Lily attended Guilford High School where she served as Class President, taking on this leadership role to represent her peers’ voices in class decisions. She loves to compete in soccer and was selected All SCC Girls Soccer First Team, All-Area in CT and Most Valuable Player, CIAC CT State Soccer Championship. Lily founded Power of Girl, an online platform dedicated to sharing stories and advice from dozens of successful women representing different backgrounds, careers and cultures. Her work with Power of Girl, featured in People Magazine and Teen Vogue, has strengthened her interest in inspiring girls to pursue their dreams. Lily will be pursuing her own dream, following in the footsteps of pioneer film director Martha Coolidge, by attending the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts where she’ll be majoring in Film & Television Production.
